I don't even see buffering or aynthing when I copy media onto the NAS, while at same time creating thumbnails and doing intro detection and at same time playing a UHD Blueray). But as I'm using the NAS for way more than just media streaming (using iSCSI Luns for the desktop, storing a couple of VMs on it for my server), I switched to a RAID10 now (for more write speed). Played even the original Streams from the Dune UHD Blueray without issues.
